Scholarship OpportunitiesWindward Therapeutic Massage Center, School of Massage Therapy is a non-degree institution. Many major scholarship programs do not fund vocational education. However, being in Hawaii, we have benefited from our local roots. We have worked side by side with many local organizations including: Alu Like, Inc, Ko'olaupoko Hawaiian Civic Center, Hawaii Vocational rehabilitation and Veterans benefits. Alu Like, Inc.Hana Lima Scholarship (through Alu Like, Inc) offers financial support to those of Hawaiian Ancestry that is participating in vocational or technical education programs. Certain criteria must be meet to be eligible for this scholarship.
Ko’olaupoko Hawaii Civic ClubThe Ko`olaupoko Hawaiian Civic Club raises funds annually to provide scholarship and financial aid grants to deserving students, primarily on Windward O`ahu. The scholarships are open to anyone, with preference given to students of Native Hawaiian ancestry residing in the areas from Kane`ohe to Kualoa.
Hawaii Vocational RehabilitationMany vocational rehabilitation centers in Hawaii work with disabled or work injured individuals. We gladly accept anyone that is willing to retrain in becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist. We work hand in hand with your counselor to make sure your goals are met.
Veterans BenefitsThe Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) VetSuccess Program. It is sometimes referred to as the Chapter 31 program. The VetSuccess program assists Veterans with service-connected disabilities to prepare for, find, and keep suitable jobs. For Veterans with service-connected disabilities so severe that they cannot immediately consider work, VetSuccess offers services to improve their ability to live as independently as possible.
